Half way there

We pushed on through the rain past Besancon to start our run up the mountains and get a head start on the ride for tomorrow. It was a good day today, we were all on top form, our legs appear to have annealed and while not steel yet, we're certainly headed that way. We have now reached our half way point, 8 days in and tomorrow morning we will hit 1000km. We've learned some stuff so far: Matt needs crisps and beer not electrolyte and energy bars; Jon needs his sleep and Ted is usually right. As a team we've learned that you should always ask for a room at the back and never order the menu gourmand.
